AI is on every boardroom agenda. Yet in many organisations, it never makes it beyond the first pilot. The reason is rarely the technology itself - AI is better than ever. More often, the real challenge lies in the data and the way organisations operate. Because AI only delivers value when your data is right.
That`s why we`re launching De Dataleiders - a podcast about data-driven leadership in the age of AI. It`s not a technical deep dive, but a conversation about the real dilemmas, decisions, and trade-offs leaders face when it comes to data, AI, and better decision-making.
In our first episode, "AI only works if your data is right," host Bas Haarhuis sits down with Stef Comello, Managing Director of Climber Benelux. Together, they explore why AI models often end up relying on poor-quality data, what that means for organisations, and how to get started without waiting years for perfect data.

Last week, the Climber UK team came together for the quarterly meeting and summer social to learn, collaborate, and spend time together.
The day was packed with business updates, breakout sessions, and hands-on workshops exploring the latest developments in AI. After a productive day, it was time to swap laptops for life jackets as we headed out onto the Thames for some sailing, followed by a very competitive game of volleyball.
They rounded off the day with a BBQ in the sunshine, catching up outside of work and celebrating another great quarter together!
A big thank you to everyone who joined us in London for last night’s Climber Evangelist event, despite the record-breaking June heat!
Last night’s session focused on the topic ‘building an AI-ready data foundation’. We explored how businesses can align structured and unstructured data using Qlik Talend Cloud and Knowledge Marts to create trusted data foundations for AI, alongside best practices for creating business processes and data models ready for integration with Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Also a huge thank you to our fantastic presenters Sujan Sreenath, Partner Enablement Manager at Qlik, Thomas Cotterill, Senior BI Consultant at Climber, and Roger Gray, BI Manager at Climber.
We’re already looking forward to seeing you all at the next one!
